Is working at Jittery Joe's your first experience with work? If not, what skills from other jobs are you implementing at the coffee shop? If it is, what skills are you learning that you will take with you to future jobs?
*No i had a job this summer working with the city. My summer job was really cleaning up stuff so the skills i learned is cleaning. How to fix things for people and clean.
Weekly Question Two
We are already beginning to talk about customer service. Talk about a positive customer service experience you have had working at Jittery Joe's.
* A positive customer service experience was when i was selling food to my friends. The reason I think that is because it feels good selling food or drinks to the group of peers. Another positive experience was also seeling food to my teachers or just people thats just visting classic city.
Weekly Question Three
Talk about tasks that can be done when the coffee shop is slow. What types of things can you be working on to still be a productive worker?
* I think a good task to do when the coffee shop is moving slow is cleaning up. The reason i say that is because don't no one wants to buy food or even make an order when the area their buying from is nasty. The reason i say this is because i know i wouldn't want to buy anything from a place that has old food laying around just nasty period.
Weekly Question Four
Do you have classmates asking you for free drinks or pastries? You aren't alone! Some of your peers will ask you this frequently, causing you to make an ethical decision. How have you handled it in the past? How will you handle it in the future?
* Yes i have got ask to give some of my peers free snacks or drinks. How i handle it in the past was by saying there is a camera right there and it works. How i will handle it in the future will probably be by saying the same thing or just telling them i cant lose a creadit for no one because im trying to get out of school not go to jail.
Weekly Question Five
Has there been a time where you made an error either with money or dealing with a customer? Explain what happened and how you corrected it. What will you do differently next time?
Yes there was one time when we had alot of customers and instead of putting 50 cents in to the cash register i put in five dollars so that made the count under. A way i will not make that mistake again will be just by moving a little bit slower when i'm making a purchase. But i won't move to slow so i can still help out with the customers.
Weekly Question Six
Describe how you feel physically while working. What changes or stays the same as you work?
I feel good because you really dont have to stand unless you selling food to a customer or just cleaning up. One thing that i will say that stays the same as I work is just being ready to help a customer or cleaning when somthing spills or just need cleaning up.
Weekly Question Seven
Have you had a bad customer experience? Without using names or identifying information, explain what happened and how you resolved the situation.
I really can't say i had a bad customer experience besides not knowing how to make coffee drinks for people. How i resolved that problem was just basically just learning how to make the drinks.
Weekly Question Eight
Now that you have legitimate work experience (if you did not already) do you feel differently about the way you spend money? Assume you earned minimum wage for working at Jittery Joe's instead of course credit. How does that change the value of money in your eyes?
No i really don't feel differently by spending money. I guess it stills feel the same because i already held a job. I really couldn't say it would change the value of money in my eyes because I all have been getting paid to work.
Weekly Question Nine
What has been the most difficult part of your job at Jittery Joe's? What would you change if you could?
The only diffcult part i had at jittery joe's was just making drinks and learning how to make them. Because different drinks take different things you got to put into it. I wouldn't change nothing because its a good thing you learn how to make them so if you could get another job doing the same thing and already know how to do it.
Weekly Question Ten
What is your greatest achievement in school so far this semester?
My greatest achievement i would probably say is not failing no classes and just keeping good grades threw out the school year.
Weekly Question Eleven
What job do you ideally want? What skills will you need to hone in order to get that job? What educational background is required? How does this class help you to train for these things?
My ideal job is just owning my own business. The skills i need for that job is just business classes. The educational background required is college course on business. This class helps me with that i guess by just letting me count money and sell things.
Weekly Question Twelve
As the semester ends, think back over the last few months. What experience has been most valuable to you?
I really can't say i had a valuable experience because it just felt like another day at school for me. And the cleaning part of jittery joe's was crazy to because people do not clean up nothing and leave it for me or my partner to do.
